The Permanent Exhibition
The permanent exhibition is designed so that visitors can feel the spaces in the factory as if they were laboring. This is done through the implementation of sound environments and visuals for the exhibition space. In addition to the audiovisual media that show the different technical systems of the Tobacco Factory of Maia, there are also writings that accompany the persons throughout the exposure . The explanatory texts are written in Portuguese and English. The permanent exhibition can be seen across four areas: Weighing and Compression Room, Fire Curing Barn, Flue Curing Barn and Bridge Weighbridge. We can also found, at the museum, a small tea room where visitors can proof our delicious coffee liqueur, as well as taste the already known the zone tea or just sit and enjoy the surroundings. On the reception of the Museum the visitors can acquire items that are exposed in the glass windows.
