Mission

The Tobacco Museum of Maia (MTM) is a scientific culture of the Holy House of Mercy of the Holy Spirit of Maia, designed for research, documentation, conservation, interpretation and dissemination of agro-tobacco industry, a perspective of social and local development. MTM resulted retrieval and conversion of a group of buildings and areas of cultivation of former tobacco factory of Maia, from the perspective of anthropology of techniques, and the ecomuseology musealization of Sites.
